To ensure that quality health care facilities, services, and equipment are available and accessible to the
citizens of Alabama in a manner which assures continuity of care at a reasonable cost.
Going forward, the Agency requests that all digital submissions be in a PDF, text-searchable format that meets the ADA standards mandated by the
Alabama Office of Information Technology’s Information Standard 530S2-00 and Rehabilitation Act 29 U.S.C § 794d. These rules and statutes specifically
require that every graphic features an “alt” tag and a description of the image, the inclusion of alternative text relating to image maps, and the
avoided use of frames as they create navigation problems for the user. Please contact the Agency with any questions regarding this request.
